London Club boys
David Jaymes and Geoffrey Deane, along with David's brother Robbie,
John Du Prez (later to become famous as the composer of the scores
to such films as A Fish Called Wanda and Soapdish) along with
Paul Gendler on guitar and Andy Kyriacou on drums formed a vaguely
latin dance band in the early 80's. After the first album
vocalist Deane was replaced by Michael J Mullins for a more R&B/pop
oriented sound, while still retaining the big band feel.
From a 1982 issue of FlexiPop magazine, David and Geoffrey star
in Brideshead ReWritten (warning-- these
three pages are 122K to 170K each).
Discography (to the best of my knowledge none of these
albums have been released on CD. Nothing Ever Goes The Way
